SECTION 1: FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS

1. Flower arrangement –46cmX 52cm maximum size, own container
(Theme-A Nursery Rhyme)
2. Small arrangement of flowers in an egg cup

SECTION 2: FLOWERS

4.    Group of 5 Dahlias
5.    Single Chrysanthemum
6.    Group of 5 Chrysanthemums
7.    Flowers annuals – 4 stems / 2 or more varieties
8.    Flowers perennials – 4 stems / 2 or more varieties

SECTION 3: POT PLANTS

SECTION 5: VEGETABLES

   21. Carrots 4 – 1 variety, tops trimmed to 7cm.

   23. Courgettes 3 – 1 variety
   24. Any other vegetable
   25. Largest Marrow – weighed at show
   26. Largest Onion – weighed at show
   27. Longest Runner Bean – measured at show
   28. Bunch of Herbs – 5 stems, 1 each of 5 distinct kinds
   29. Vegetable selection – 5 different kinds, on 46cm. X 46cm. tray supplied at show

SECTION 6: DOMESTIC

   30. Jar Jam   }Home-made, use a clear glass jar. Content not less than
   31. Jar Jelly   } 224gm.
   32. Jar Chutney   } no trade marked caps or jars to be used
   33. Sultana Scones – 3
   34. Carrot Cake (Men only) 3 squares approx.5cm. own recipe
   35. Victoria Sandwich – using 3 eggs / approx. 20cm.tin (jam and butter cream filling)
   36. White Loaf –500gm. dough
   37. Eggs – 3

SECTION 7: HOME-MADE WINE

   38. Dry Red   }Wines should be exhibited in clear, preferably punted glass
   39. Dry White   }bottles of approx. 75 cl{26 fl oz}, fitted with flanged corks.
   40. Sweet Red   }No label of any sort should be on the bottle, except that given
   41. Sweet White   }to the exhibitor at the show.

SHOW RULES

1.   Entries must be submitted on the entry form or by telephone by the Thursday prior to the show. A staging card for each entry must be collected, and entry fees paid prior to staging. Entry fees are 25p per class for adults, free for children. The appropriate staging card must be placed, face downwards, with its respective exhibit on the show bench. If no staging card is present the exhibit may not be judged. No entries will be accepted on the day of the show.

2.   No exhibitor may enter more than one exhibit in each class. Two members of a household may not compete in the same class in Sections 2, 3, 4 or 5.

3.   All exhibits must be the work or produce of the exhibitor. Horticultural subjects must have been grown by the exhibitor for at least 2 months prior to exhibiting. Flowers used in Section 1 are excluded from this rule.

4.   All roots and tubers must be washed prior to staging.

5.   All bakery exhibits to be placed in clear polythene bags with twist tie closures.

The Rene Brown Memorial Cup is awarded to the best floral exhibit in Sections 1, 2 or 3.

The Vegetable Challenge Cup is awarded for the most points in Section 5. Points are 3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd. Both cups are held for 1 year only.
