This kind of thing is very worrying and must be addressed as early as possible especially if it is being done without the necessary consent having been obtained. Can you be a bit more specific about the location? A house name, or a description of the location in terms of the physical geography etc. Thanks

Thanks for your interest, the name of the property was GLENHOUSE,but they have renamed it IVANS WAY,it is on the right hand of the road just before you get to CAR QUIP the car breakers towards Nordelph end of the road.Ihave just come in from work and the road is covered in mud and dangerous now that it is raining, and may freeze tonight. Have been in touch with council and they state their as been no planning application for this property or change of use, they say it is agricultral land. Hope this helps you out

I came back along Barroway Drove from the Nordelph end earlier this evening and noticed the mud all over the road near the scrap yard.
How reliable do you think the rumours are? Personally, I feel a little suspicious that this work has started just after christmas, when the council offices are closed until the new year.
I am not sure there is anything to be done until the council is back in the new year, but if there is anything other than 'landscaping' going on there, such as building work, I think you need to bring it to the attention of the planning enforcement dept.
As for the danger caused by the mud on the road, I see no reason why that should not be reported to the Police, who should have an 'emergency' contact to arrange the removal of the hazard.

Hi,
It has been really interesting to find out the Bishop travel have moved to the property mentioned.
I too have noticed the mud and did also contact the council.
They could not tell me anything about the mud and only knew of carquip and there regulations.
Interestingly, I learnt that Carquip only has planning for 40 cars. I would say from the road, there appears more than that!
Seems that people can do what they like, these days! And as for the council, they seemed not bothered and unhelpful.
Any more news?

i have no interest in bishops travel apart from that i live near... i have to say i have never been upset or awakened by happenings ... i actually like the fact that hedges have been planted (doing it right me thinks..) and whilst we all want p and q it simply isnt our right also you dont own the view out of your lounge window!!! (your lucky eastender there arnt pigs on there!!! )
that being said i understand the whinging and whining but life goes on get on with it were in the country roads get dirty
so yes i support bishops travel moving in they add security to the drove and dont forget car equip so thats 2 strong local firms doing it for the drove ....
and all you lot do is whinge to ncc bcklwn and environment agency so i say get a life grow up and support those who help to bring norfolk a living.. if you dont like it move !! its as easy as that
this forum needs a reality check
all you do is moan whinge and complain WHY
you need to grow up and understand that yes you have a place on the drove but your right to an idealic perfect retreat isnt guaranteed... and when things change you think your world has collapsed
this is a bad place to be too many nimbys!!(i cannot say the word i want to use it begins with W)
my parting shot i aggree about the road surface its crap... thats great lets all drive slower and thats a positive!!
woof kty bach
and several more woofs""

Personally, I would far prefer to look out on a load of pigs, (or other livestock), than a collection of busses and taxis, (or other non-organic objects).
