"It's snow good the schools are closing again"

The snow is falling and the schools are beginning to get ready for the weekend. Updates to follow, as of 12:09 the following schools are closing.

Clackclose Community Primary School - The school will close at 1.15 pm. Parents are asked to collect their children as soon as possible (from now) as conditions are worsening rapidly.

Hilgay Village VC Primary School - The school will close at 1.10pm today due to worsening weather conditions

Upwell Community Primary School - The school will close today at 1.00 p.m. due to worsening weather conditions

We've got another dose of snow this morning so I'll be updating the site with School closures again.

As of 8:19 the following schools are closed.

All Downham Schools are now closed

Hillcrest Primary School

Downham Market High School - CLOSED DUE TO HEAVY SNOW AND DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS

Clackclose Community Primary School - Snow and slippery conditions

Denver CE VC Primary School - Staff are unable to get to school due to heavy snow in several parts of the region.

Ten Mile Bank Community Primary School

Wimbotsham & Stow Community School - concerns for pupil and staff safety getting to school in snow

Upwell Community Primary School - Due to snow and hazardous conditions

Runcton Holme CE VA Primary School - Due to severe weather

"School Closures due to snow"

You might have noticed it's snowing outside this morning.

There's obviously a good chance the schools in Downham Market and the surrounding areas will be closed.

The Web Portal has a page with the most recent information from Norfolk County Council, the link is here - http://www.barrowaydrove.org/typo3/index.php?id=schoolclosures

The page doesn't automatically reload so you'll have to hit the refresh/reload button on your browser periodically.

I'll update this post if any of the local schools appear on the page, as of 11:08 the following schools are closed.

Methwold High School - School will be closing at 14:00hrs

Downham Market High School is OPEN

Clackclose Community Primary School - School closed due to snow

Wimbotsham & Stow Community School - snow and forecast of heavier snow later

Southery Primary - Due to staff illness and difficulties getting to school coupled with the forecast of further snow we will be closed today.

Ten Mile Bank Community Primary School - school will close at 12.30 after lunch those people who travel to the school should phone the school for advice
